The best way to look after any leather sofa is to give it a thorough vacuum every week. This will help to make sure that no gritty particles have the chance to scratch and potentially damage the leather.

Rather than picking up sofa cleaning products that may not be tailored to the particular leather of your sofa, we recommend investing in one of our specialist sofa care kits to carry out any cleaning.

This care kit includes specially developed products to help keep the leather of your Linara looking spotless and beautifully well conditioned. Suitable for most leathers, the kit includes cleaning products to treat light stains, as well as tougher marks. Most importantly there is protection cream to condition the leather, which needs to be applied after every clean and at least twice a year to stop your leather drying out. Full instructions are included to advise you of the best way to clean your sofa.

If you accidentally spill on your Linara sofa, you should try to blot it up as soon as possible - the more quickly you act, the more likely it will be that you can stop any staining. Use a clean, dry cloth and gently dab (never rub), moving the liquid towards the centre of the spillage.

When the excess liquid has been blotted up, you can gently wipe the area with a clean, damp, colourfast cloth, rinsing regularly until the stain has been removed. Always let the area dry naturally. Once completely dry, you should follow cleaning with the leather conditioner to make sure it doesn’t become dry or brittle. Conditioning the leather at least twice a year revives the sheen and keeps it lubricated, supple and soft.

Important tip: To avoid water marks after cleaning we advise that you dampen a colourfast cloth with boiled water from a kettle and gently wipe the entire panel or cushion from seam to seam. This will help to prevent any water stains as the leather dries.
